BEYOND MY WORLD to hasło przyświecające i spajające tegoroczną edycję festiwalu. Odnosi się do głównej sekcji programowej ANIMATORA 2020. To zachęta do wyjścia poza własny światopogląd, perspektywę, wartości, wiarę, sposób patrzenia i pojmowania świata. Brak umiejętności takiej transcendencji jest, w naszym odczuciu, głównym powodem ludzkiej ignorancji – wobec siebie i natury, a także podstawowym ‘zapalnikiem’ konfliktów zbrojnych, światopoglądowych, kryzysów i rewolucji.

W ramach sekcji odbędą się pokazy filmów animowanych poruszających tematykę światowych konfliktów, w szczególności izraelsko-palestyńskiego. Nie zabraknie też akcentu związanego z kryzysem klimatycznym.

Festiwalowi, od początku jego istnienia towarzyszy Międzynarodowy Konkurs Filmów Animowanych, stanowiący z jednej strony okazję dla widzów do zapoznania się z przeglądem najnowszej animacji z całego świata (w konkursie prezentowane jest ok. 60 filmów krótko- i pełnometrażowych wybranych spośród ponad 1000 nadesłanych do selekcji), a z drugiej będący szansą dla twórców – zarówno tych debiutujących, jak i uznanych do zaprezentowania się przed festiwalową publicznością.

W tegorocznym konkursie krótkometrażowym weźmie udział 47 filmów, podzielonych na 6 pokazów tematycznych – m. in. W stronę dzieciństwa, Życie jako śmiertelna choroba, Film jest snem, Przyczajone zło, ukryte dobro.
Selekcję filmów pełnometrażowych ujawnimy wkrótce.

W programie znajdzie się też kolejna odsłona filmów animowanych pod hasłem KOBIETY MAJĄ GŁOS. 
Nie zabraknie też animowanych seriali i sekcji ANIMATOR DLA DZIECI. Przedstawimy Wam też blok programowy animacjom aktywnie angażującym odbiorców (animacje interaktywne) i produkcjom animowanym powstającym w oparciu o silniki, środowisko graficzne i techniczne gier komputerowych ANIMACJA INTERAKCJA. GRY WIDEO 

Szczegółowy program 13. Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Filmów Animowanych ANIMATOR pojawi się w pierwszej połowie września.
W tym roku festiwal po raz pierwszy odbędzie się formie hybrydowej – stacjonarnie w poznańskim 

 oraz online.

13th IAFF ANIMATOR

BEYOND MY WORLD is a motto that summarizes and unifies this year’s edition of the Festival. It refers to the main programme section of ANIMATOR 2020. It is an encouragement to reach beyond one’s worldview, perspective, values, faith, manner of seeing and understanding the world. The inability to attain such transcendence is, in our opinion, the major cause of human ignorance in relations with ourselves and with nature, and the main trigger of armed conflicts, ideology clashes, crises and revolutions.

Within the framework of this section, films will be screened that tackle the subject of global conflicts, particularly the Israeli-Palestinian one. The climatic crisis issue will also be accentuated.

From the very beginning of its history, one of the Festival’s key events is the International Competition of Animated Films. On the one hand, the Competition gives our audience the opportunity to get acquainted with a panorama of the latest productions from around the globe (with approx. 60 titles, both feature films and short films, selected from over a thousand submitted for selection); on the other hand, it is an opportunity for artists – both debuting and well-established – to present their work to our festival audience.

This year’s short film competition will feature 47 films divided into 6 thematic screenings, among them: Towards childhood, Life as a terminal disease, Film is a dream, Crouching evil, hidden truth.
The list of selected feature films will be revealed shortly.

The programme also includes animated films from the  WOMEN HAVE THE FLOOR series, as well as animated series for children and the ANIMATOR FOR KIDS section.  We are also going to present to you a thematic bloc of animations actively involving viewers (interactive animations) and animated productions based on the engines and graphic and technological environment of computer games ANIMACJA INTERAKCJA. VIDEO GAMES .

A detailed programme of the 13th International Animated Film Festival ANIMATOR will be published in the first half of September.
This year, for the first time in its history, the Festival will have a hybrid formula combining traditional screenings at the Muza Cinema with online presentations.
