Kwalifikujący do Oscarów® 12. Międzynarodowy Festiwal Filmów Animowanych ANIMATOR wystartuje 5. lipca w Poznaniu. To jedno z największych wydarzeń poświęconych animacji w Europie, uhonorowane jubileuszową nagrodą PISF.
W ramach 12. ANIMATORA zaprezentujemy ponad 300 filmów z całego świata. W konkursie międzynarodowym o Grand Prix – Złotego Pegaza powalczy 45 tytułów krótkometrażowych. Wybrano je z ponad 1000 propozycji nadesłanych z 64 krajów, w tym z tak egzotycznych miejsc, jak Kostaryka, Kuba, Kuwejt, Makau czy Martynika. Zapraszamy także na drugą edycję Konkursu Polskich Filmów Animowanych ANIMATOR.PL. To okazja do poznania najnowszych dokonań rodzimych twórców.
🔸 Odwiedzi nas Tim Allen, brytyjski animator stop-motion, który pracował m.in. przy „Gnijącej Pannie Młodej” Tima Burtona, „Baranku Shaunie”, czy „Wyspie psów” Wesa Andersona.
🔸 W programie głównym festiwalu m.in.: Animation as a Statement – cykl obejmujący retrospektywę Janet Perlman, sekcja animacji non-fiction oraz specjalny pokaz Kobiety Mają Głos. ANIMATOR 2019 to także Animacja z Norwegii, Animacja i VR oraz ANIMATOR PRO – obszerny blok skierowany do profesjonalistów. Polecamy bardzo Animowane seriale oraz program wydarzeń specjalnych, obejmujący koncerty, silent disco, jak i nowość – silent Cinema Najmłodszym polecamy ANIMATORA DLA DZIECI, gdzie m.in. będzie można nakręcić swój pierwszy film.

🔸 The International Animated Film Festival ANIMATOR returns for its 12th edition on July 5. Awarded by the prestigious Polish Film Institute, the Poznań-based ANIMATOR is an Academy Award® qualifying festival and one of the biggest animation events in Europe.
🔸 Upwards of 300 films from around the world will be screened over the course of Animator’s 12th edition. The international competition will see 45 shorts compete for ANIMATOR’s Grand Prix – the coveted Golden Pegasus award. The shortlisted films have been selected from over a thousand submissions sent to us from 64 countries, including such remote locations as Costa Rica, Cuba, Kuwait, Macau and Martinique. What’s more, we’d like to invite you to the second edition of the Polish Animated Films Competition ANIMATOR.PL. The segment offers a great opportunity to check out the latest productions by Polish filmmakers.
🔸 We are also delighted to host Tim Allen, a British stop-motion animator, known for his work on Tim Burton’s “Corpse Bride”, “Shaun the Sheep” and Wes Anderson’s “Isle of Dogs.”
🔸 This year’s program includes Animation as a Statement – a series consisting of Janet Perlman’s retrospective, a section dedicated to non-fiction animation and a special screening Women Have a Voice. ANIMATOR 2019 also features Animation from Norway, Animation and VR, as well as ANIMATOR PRO – aimed at professionals in the field. In addition, we recommend our animated TV series and the special events program covering concerts, silent disco and, for the first time – Silent Cinema. Our youngest guests are encouraged to take part in the annual ANIMATOR FOR KIDS workshops, where they will get a chance to create their first film, among other things.
As ever, for six days in July, Poznań will be filled by Animator’s trademark fusion of animation and music.
