Słowo muzyka, od greckiego „mousike”, oznaczało wszelką czynność, której patronują Muzy. W Starożytności nie odnosiło się tylko do dźwięków, ale obejmowało też takie sztuki jak taniec, poezja czy architektura. Święty Augustyn twierdził, że muzyka to wiedza o liczbie, mierze i proporcji, a znajomość muzyki nie jest tylko umiejętnością śpiewu, gry czy upodobaniem w melodiach; jest poznaniem liczb.
Gdy elektron zmienia orbitę nie odbywa żadnej podróży, nie pokonuje żadnej przestrzeni, nie ma etapów pośrednich – znika z orbity X i natychmiast pojawia się na orbicie Y. Nazywa się to skokiem kwantowym. Gdy dziewczynie siedzącej na dzieży obcinają warkocz, zdejmują wianek i nakładają czepiec – znika ze stanu panieńskiego i natychmiast pojawia się wśród mężatek. Nazywa się to weselem.

Zapraszamy na oprowadzanie kuratorskie po labiryncie idei, które stanowią kręgosłup spektaklu “Harmonia Vulgaris” (premiera: 13 grudnia 2019). Poetycka narracja okraszona domowymi eksperymentami z pogranicza fizyki, akustyki i cymatyki jest wynikiem międzypokoleniowej współpracy Jacka Hałasa i Julii Hałas.

The word „music”, from the Greek “mousike”, used to refer to any activity performed under the auspices of the Muses. In the ancient times it meant not only the production of sounds, but also encompassed other arts like dance, poetry, and architecture. St. Augustine claimed that music is the knowledge of numbers, measures and proportions, and the knowledge of music rests not only upon the ability to sing, play or taking pleasure in melodies; it is studying the numbers.
When an electron changes its orbit, there is no journey involved, it does not traverse any space, there are no intermediate states – it just vanishes from orbit X and instantly reappears on orbit Y. It’s called a quantum leap. When a girl sitting on a kneading-trough has her braid cut and her bridal flower crown replaced by a bonnet – she vanishes as a maiden and becomes a wife straight away. It’s called a wedding.
Has quantum physics got anything to do with Tradition?
And is Tradition linked to the ancient idea of Harmonia Mundi?
We invite you to a curatorial tour through the labyrinth of ideas forming the backbone of “Harmonia Vulgaris” (first staged on 13th of December 2019). Its poetic narrative, spiced with homemade experiments from the borderland of physics, acoustics, and cymatis, is a result of intergenerational cooperation between Jacek Hałas and Julia Hałas.

« Musique » – mot issu du grec ancien « moûsikế » qui, dans l’antiquité, signifiait l’art des Muses – pas uniquement du sons, mais aussi les autres arts comme la danse, la poésie, ou même l’architecture.
Selon Saint Augustin, la musique est la science des nombres, des mesures et des proportions. Ainsi, la connaissance de cet art n’est pas juste savoir chanter, jouer de divers instruments ou simplement être passionné par la musique: c’est plutôt la connaissance de ces nombres, dompter leurs subtilités .
Quand un électron change sa position d’une orbite à une autre, il ne voyage pas, il ne passe par aucun espace, par aucune étape intermédiaire – il disparaît de l’orbite X et apparait immédiatement sur l’orbite Y . Ce phénomène est appelé « saut quantique ». Quand la natte d’une jeune fille est coupée, sa couronne de fleurs est enlevée, et remplacée par un bonnet – elle disparaît ainsi de l’état « célibataire » et se paraît immédiatement entre les femmes mariées. Ce phénomène est appelé « le mariage ».
Pouvons-nous ainsi tracer un parallèle entre physique quantique et tradition, domaines qui de premiers abords paraissent inconciliables ?
Et entre la Tradition et la conception antique de « Harmonia Mundi » ?
C’est avec un immense plaisir que nous vous convions à la visite, guidée par le commissaire de l’exposition lui-même, du labyrinthe des concepts qui est l’épine dorsale du spectacle « Harmonia Vulgaris » (première : 13 décembre 2019). La narration poétique, parsemée d’expérimentations tel le mélange de physique, d’acoustique et de cymatique, est le résultat d’une coopération intergénérationnelle de Jacek Hałas et Julia Hałas.
